Material Master Data
OVERVIEW
Material Master Data defines how material related information is structured and managed across various categories in SAP.
1. General Data:
Information applicable across the entire organization such as material description, base unit of measure, weight, volume and material group.
2. Plant Data:
Plant specific details including MRP profile, manufacturing costs, loading group, production scheduling and lead times.
3. Storage Location Data:
Data related to specific storage locations within a plant such as stock levels, storage bin details and inventory status.
4. Sales Data:
Sales specific information including delivering plant, minimum order quantity, tax classification, sales text and other details relevant to sales processes.
