SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern
Important Dates:
Date of Prelims Exam – 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10 July 2016
We are providing you the Detailed Syllabus and Exam Pattern of SBI PO Prelims Exam.
The SBI has changed the Exam Pattern for Probationary Officer Exam from last year. Now as per the new Exam pattern, the Selection Process of the Exam consists of 3 phases which are given below:
i) Phase I: Online Preliminary Examination ( Objective type)
ii) Phase II: Main Exam (Objective + Descriptive)
iii) Phase III: Group Discussion & Interview (Verbal)
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
Phase I Prelim Exam is a qualifying examination, which makes a candidate eligible for Phase II. Through this, candidates are shortlisted for appearing in the Phase II Main Exam.
Thus, the marks secured in the Phase I Prelim Exam will not be counted for the purpose of Final Selection.
The Exam Pattern for Phase I is as follows:
The SBI Prelim Exam is an Online Objective Test of 100 marks and 1 hour time duration. The Prelims Exam consists of three sections as given below:

Note:
- (i) The cutoffs are applied in 2 stages i.e. Sectional Cutoff and Overall Cutoff.
- (ii) For each wrong answer, ¼ of the mark will be deducted as penalty.
