SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern
The SBI Clerk Mains Examination is the second phase of the selection procedure for the post of Junior Associate/Junior Agricultural Associate in the Clerical Cadre. The Mains Exam will be an online objective test consisting of 190 questions and is of 2 hours 40 minutes. Detailed information on the different sections of SBI Clerk Mains Exam are provided below.

Other Facts about SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern
1) All questions in the objective tests in the SBI Clerk Mains exam, except for General English paper, will be bilingual in English & Hindi. This means that you will be able to select which language you are more comfortable taking the exam in. Some questions might be easier to attempt in Hindi while others in English. Use this to your advantage.
2) In addition to an overall cut off, there will be sectional cut offs that you need to clear to advance in the SBI Clerk 2016 Recruitment Process. These cut offs will be decided by the bank itself.
3) There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Mains exam. 1/4th of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted if you give the wrong answer.
4) Each section will have separate timing as mentioned above. So time management will have to be done at the individual section level. This, however, removes the crucial element of “How much time to spend on a section?” The fixed time allotted to the section also means that you cannot switch to any other section, and you will need to appear for the paper in the order in which the sections are presented to you.
5) If time for a particular section gets over, you cannot attempt it later. Suppose you are attempting General English section and have completed the section within 20 minutes. You won’t be permitted to move to another section until the timer for English section runs out.
6) There is NO Descriptive Test for SBI Clerk 2016.
7) Depending upon the number of vacancies only a certain number of candidates from amongst those who qualify the SBI Clerk Mains Exam will be called for interview (if conducted) in the ratio of a maximum of 3 candidates per vacancy.
